"I don't feel like I'm an expert on [Jay] Cutler and his ability," former Dolphins head coach Don Shula said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "I know he had a good career at Vanderbilt and everybody thought he was going to be a great pro. But, or some reason or another, he hasn't quite been a great pro."

"He's a big strong guy. He's very very bright obviously," Shula said. "And maybe it's just getting him in the right situation and putting good people around him, [putting] good coaches around him and then see what happens. But so far he hasn't been able to live up to the the expectations that everybody had when he came out of Vanderbilt."
