Showers And Thunderstorms Wednesday Night Into Thursday
CHICAGO (CBS) -- How warm it gets the next couple days will vary greatly depending where you live in the Chicago area, but either way, expect to see rain and thunderstorms Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
A low pressure center was keeping a stationary front in place over the Chicago area, just south of the city, keeping temperatures cooler in Chicago and the northern and western suburbs, and noticeably milder in the southern suburbs and most of northwestern Indiana.
Forecast highs on Wednesday were expected to range from 37 in McHenry, to 39 in Zion, 43 in Chicago, 50 in Gary, 54 in Joliet, 61 in Portage, and 62 in Kankakee.
For the entire Chicago area, however, showers and a few thunderstorms will be a factor Wednesday night into Thursday morning, most likely between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m.
With temperatures dropping through the day on Thursday, some snow showers are possible by the afternoon.
Looking ahead to the weekend, sunny skies are expected on Friday, with a high around 45. Scattered showers are likely on Saturday and Sunday, with a high around 56 on Saturday and 48 for the Easter holiday.
