Should The Bulls Try To Chase Down The Spurs?
CHICAGO (WSCR) -- The Chicago Bulls are just one game behind the San Antonio Spurs for the best record in the NBA. Head coach Tom Thibodeau has made it clear that he intends on trying to catch the Spurs and guarantee home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.
"I understand his desire to do it," Steve Aschburner, of NBA.com, said on the Danny Mac Show. "That's worked for them all season, this notion that 'we haven't accomplished anything, there's still this carrot in front of us, don't look too far ahead, focus on the now'...I understand the desire for it, I just don't think it's worth chasing right now.
"This is a time when you want to set things up, you want to rest guys, you want to prevent them from getting injured now, less they not be available when you need them."

The Bulls have two games left on their schedule (4/12 vs Knicks and 4/13 vs Nets) before they begin their playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.
"I think the Bulls need to really focus on the first round," Aschburner said. "To worry about what could be potentially the 28th playoff game...it doesn't seem worth the risk, just to get that game at the United Center."
