Man Dead After Shooting In Parking Lot Outside Crestwood Building
CRESTWOOD, Ill. (CBS) -- Shots rang out Thursday afternoon outside a condo building in southwest suburban Crestwood, leaving a man dead.
Police were called shortly after 3 p.m. for a shooting in the 5700 block of 128th Street.
They found a man in the rear parking lot of the apartment building with a gunshot wound do the head.
That man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Southwest Major Crimes Task Force was called to the scene, along with Illinois State Police.
Detectives late Thursday were speaking to witnesses and canvassing the neighborhood. They have identified four vehicles of interest – a white Mercedes Benz sport-utility vehicle, a dark-colored Dodge Durango with tinted windows, a silver Infiniti, and a Nissan Altima.
Anyone living on 128th Street, 129th Street, Carriage Lane, Park Place, or Central Avenue who has security cameras is asked to review their footage to help police identify suspects or vehicles.
