Shooting investigation underway near IB Dan Ryan Expressway
A shooting investigation was underway near the Dan Ryan Expressway early Tuesday morning.
According to Chicago police, a man was shot on a Frontage Road along the Dan Ryan Expressway around 3 a.m., prompting the inbound lanes of the expressway to shut down.
Police said the victim was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
The expressway has reopened, but the Roosevelt exit ramp remains closed for the investigation.
Area Three detectives are investigating.
