Sharp To Return To Practice Friday; Stalberg Out 3 Weeks
(CBS) Patrick Sharp is expected to return to practice Friday after missing all of training camp so far with an appendectomy.
But while the Blackhawks will get one key player back, they will also lose a few others.
Head coach Joel Quenneville said Thursday that forward Viktor Stalberg will likely miss three weeks after suffering a leg injury Wednesday night against the Red Wings.
Meanwhile, Ben Smith, who took a vicous hit to the head from the Wings' Brendan Smith Wednesday, suffered a concussion and did not practice Thursday. His return is unknown. Forward Dave Bolland also missed practice with an upper body injury, but Quenneville said it was not a concussion.
