Sharp Shines Among Hawks In All-Star Game
Sunday afternoon, the NHL's top players took the ice for the All-Star game, including four Chicago Blackhawks. Among them are Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith and Jonathan Toews on team Lidstrom and Patrick Sharp on Team Staal with coach Joel Quenneville.
All of the Chicago Blackhawks in the All-Stars made an impact by either scoring or assisting with the 21 goals scored between the two teams. Team Lidstrom, including Kane, Keith Toews, won 11-10.
Patrick Sharp shined early in the All-Star game with two assists in the first period and scoring early in the second. His performance in the All-Star game earned him the MVP award.
Jonathan Toews also had two assists and a goal later in the game. Toews' goal came mid-way through the third period to bring team Lidstrom back into the lead.
Joining Kane, Toews and Keith on team Lidstrom was former Blackhawk Dustin Byfuglien who also scored a goal.
