Shabazz Muhammad Sent Home From NBA Rookie Program For Bringing Girl To Hotel Room
(CBS) Timberwovles rookie guard Shabazz Muhammad has been excused from the NBA's Rookie Transition Program for bringing a female guest into his hotel room.
USA Today reports Muhammad will likely be fined after being dismissed from the four-day event that aims to help rookies transition into the league.
Muhammad, who was selected 14th overall, must return next summer and complete the program with the 2014 draft class.
Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur were excused from the same program in 2008 after women and the scent of marijuana were discovered in their room. Each player was fined $20,000.
