Severe Storms Possible Across Chicago Area Tuesday
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Thunderstorms could roll through the Chicago area on Tuesday, bringing the first severe storms of the year.
Monday started out with fog and a bit of rain in Chicago, but it should be dry most of the day.
Rain will return overnight, with scattered morning and early afternoon storms. More organized storms are likely mid-afternoon through the evening.
There is a slight risk of severe storms for most of northern Illinois and northern Indiana on Tuesday, especially in the afternoon and evening.
Tuesday also will be the warmest day of the week, with a high near 65 degrees in Chicago.
Temperatures then will drop through the rest of the week, with a high around 60 on Wednesday, 52 on Thursday, and then the high 40s Friday through Sunday.
