Several People Hurt After Fire In Uptown
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Several people were hurt and forced out into the cold after a high-rise fire in Uptown.
The fire started in a Dumpster in the 4600 block of North Sheridan Road just before 9:30 p.m. on Monday.
Everyone was able to get out on their own, but four people were taken to local hospitals suffering from smoke inhalation.
They're in good condition. One other person was treated at the scene.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
Another fire broke out at a senior housing center in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood.
Firefighers were called to the building at 740 E. 43rd Street around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
No one was hurt.
