"We were standing outside waiting for the procession, and the tree fell on about five people," said one witness. "You have to be careful with these trees; they are very rotten."
About 40 people helped move the tree limb to rescue the victims.
"A lot of people were screaming for help," said Natasha Smith. "Hands were just sticking out from branches and things like that."
They were gathered outside the church when a large tree limb hit them. The funeral continued on to the cemetery.
Four people were in good condition, and two others were in serious to fair condition.
All were being taken to hospitals. Most of the injuries were minor and none of the injuries was life threatening.
