Sentence For Nail-Painting Driver To Stand
WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) - A Lake County judge has refused to modify the sentence of a woman from Morris who struck and killed a motorcyclist while she was painting her nails at the wheel of her car.

Circuit Court Judge Fred Foreman said Tuesday that 50-year-old Lora Hunt can leave jail for two hours every Sunday to attend a church across the street. He rejected requests that she be allowed to attend churches further from the jail, and one to allow her 12 free hours a week.
Hunt is serving an 18 months of periodic imprisonment for the 2009 crash that killed Anita Zaffke of Lake Zurich.
Hunt has to stay in jail when she is not at or commuting to and from her job, receiving mental health treatment or performing public service.
