Second Washington Resident Dies From Tornado-Related Injuries
(CBS) – A second Washington resident has died in connection with the tornado that flattened parts of the central Illinois town earlier this month.
The latest victim is 82-year-old Rosamund Allison, who sustained injuries in the Nov. 17 tornado, the Peoria County coroner's office said. She was pronounced dead Thursday night at OSF St. Francis Medical Center; an autopsy was scheduled for Saturday.
Another Washington resident, a 51-year-old man, died the day of the tornado. Elsewhere in Illinois, another five people died from tornadoes in other regions of the state.
