Search Continues For Paralyzed Boy's Stolen Van
CHICAGO (CBS/WBBM) -- Police continue to look Friday morning for a stolen minivan equipped with a wheelchair for a paralyzed Chicago teenager.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Dave Berner reports, police have sent out a message describing the van, a red 1998 Dodge Caravan equipped with a lift. The license plate is K825852.

The van was equipped specially to transport Ondelee Perteet, 16, and his wheelchair so he could get to school. Perteet was left paralyzed after being shot while trying to break up a fight on the West Side in 2009.
Car dealership owner Jerry Moore gave Perteet's family the van after the incident.
But on Wednesday around 6 a.m., Perteet's mother, Deetreena Perteet, watched as the van squealed away from outside her home, in the 600 block of East 43rd Street in the Bronzeville neighborhood.
Ondelee is slowly regaining movement, but he needs the van to get to physical therapy.
"I use that van for everything. I need to go pick up his medications, from Walgreens, I need to go grocery shopping for the kids -- you know, family outings," his mother says. "We still want to have a life."
Police sent out a "flash message" with a description of the stolen vehicle, but it has yet to be found.
