Seahawk Injured On Hester's Punt Return
Jon Ryan took a hard hit by Earl Bennett late in the game between the Bears and Seahawks. Devin Hester caught the punt and ran it 89 yards for a touchdown, Bennet blocked Ryan which allowed the TD. However, Ryan's ribs are injured and the seriousness of it is unknown at the moment.
CHICAGO (AP) Seattle punter Jon Ryan injured his ribs late in the Seahawks' 23-20 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Coach Pete Carroll said he wasn't sure how serious it was.
Ryan was injured on Devin Hester's 89-yard punt return for a touchdown, when Chicago's Earl Bennett lowered his shoulder and leveled him with a block. Ryan stayed down for several minutes before walking off the field.
The Seahawks also lost cornerback Kelly Jennings to a hamstring injury in the first quarter.
