Seabrook To Play Against Penguins
(CBS) Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook will play tonight in Pittsburgh, just two days after taking a dangerous blindsided hit, head coach Joel Quenneville said.
Seabrook was hit from behind by Calgary forward Rene Bourque in the first period Sunday night and laid motionless on the ice for a few moments. His head appeared to hit the boards face first after taking the hit. Seabrook left the game and did not return.
Bourque was suspended two games by the NHL Monday after the league reviewed the hit.
Meanwhile, Ray Emery will once again get the start in net tonight, but Quenneville said Corey Crawford could play Wednesday when the Blackhawks host the Canadiens.
