Schuster: Thibodeau Will Use Loss To Teach Bulls
By David Schuster--
Tom Thibodeau certainly wasn't enthralled losing a game on Monday night but he sure used it to his advantage at practice Tuesday. The Bulls coach had been concerned with his teams play the last two games, but against Memphis and Milwaukee, Derrick Rose bailed his team out with heroics down the stretch.
But now Thibodeau had a loss to point to and all the flaws that he had seen in his group from the last three games. The first thing he pointed to was obvious, slow starts to games. In all three contests the Bulls were swimming up stream, especially early when they didn't start with the proper focus and energy. He also pointed to rebounding, being careless with the ball and transition defense. The Bulls coach even went as far to say that some of his big men need to stop complaining to the refs at perceived missed calls and hustle their butts down to the other end of the court.
Fortunately the Bulls didn't lose any ground to Boston Monday night (who also lost) but look out because here comes Miami. The Heat are now tied with the Celtics and appear to have an easy game at Cleveland Tuesday night. And the way that Miami's "Big Three" are currently performing they are starting to put fear into every team in the league.
The Bulls are at Minnesota Wednesday night and it looks like Kevin Love will play. The Timberwolves have an awful record and it should be a win for the Bulls. But, as Thibodeau stated over and over Tuesday, if the Bull don't take matters seriously they can lose to anybody.
