Schuster: Rose Will Try To Play Tonight

Derrick Rose will try and play tonight. Rose went through the team's shoot around this morning and says if he warms up this evening and has the proper energy, he will play.
Rose revealed to reporters that he hasn't had a full meal in almost 4 days and probably has lost 10 pounds due to a pair of stomach ulcers. The only nutrients that Rose has consumed over that time span has been protein shakes and smoothies.
Rose also down played his starting role in the upcoming All Star game. The announcement was made last night and Rose didn't even watch the show. Instead he got the word from his Mother who was watching at his residence. He did admit that he is looking forward to playing in the game but says he's no where on the level with the other starters. He actually could be right about that last part but not the way he thinks.. At this time he might actually be above them, at least for this season, because he is the leading candidate for the leagues Most Valuable Player.
