Schuster: Rose Misses Late Free Throw And Bulls Lose
Derrick Rose recently had his first technical and Saturday night he missed his first free throw in a late game situation since highschool. The result of the later was the Bulls losing 100-99 to the L.A. Clippers.
Rose got fouled with less then a second left in regulation and the Bulls trailing by 2. he calmly swished the first charity toss but the 2nd was short as soon as it left his hand and the Bulls came up short by the 1 point.
Rose was definitely bummed after the game but vowed he will make it the next time he is in a similar situation. You couldn't possibly blame him for the loss as he scored a game high 34 points (23 in the 2nd half) to go along with 6 rebounds and 8 assists.
Carlos Boozer tallied 25 points but it was painfully obvious that the Bulls will miss Joakim Noah who is out 8-10 weeks with that torn up thumb. Blake Griffin who is a lock at this point for rookie of the year scored 29 points for L.A. as the Bulls put up little resistance inside. The Bulls problems were further heightened when Taj Gibson went down in the 3rd quarter with a concussion and was extremely foggy after the game. Gibson is being listed as day to day.
