Schuster: Gibson Out Tonight
By David Schuster--
The Bulls will really be short handed when they play host to the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. Taj Gibson joins Joakim Noah on the sidelines, as Gibson is still bothered by the effects of the concussion he suffered Saturday night.
Tom Thibodeau will go with veteran Kurt Thomas at center and will come with Omer Asik off the bench. Thomas has been mostly inactive this season and is far from being in peak shape but he does have a host of experience and that's why he's getting the starting nod over Asik.
The Bulls were beaten up in the rebounding column in their loss to the Clippers on Saturday and it wont be easy tonight either, as 7-footer Spencer Hawes is Philadelphia's center and is flanked by Elton Brand, also a good rebounder.
Thibodeau has mentioned that rebounding now becomes mandatory by all his players and that includes the guards.
The Bulls have won 7 of their last 8 and Philadelphia. And after a rotten start, are playing better, having won 8 of their last 11.
