Schuster: Bulls Likely To Use 2 First Round Picks

CHICAGO (WSCR) Try as they might to make a trade, the Bulls will likely end up using both their first round picks. Currently the Bulls have picks 28 and 30 in the opening round, and it's beyond rare to get an impact player that far down.
The Bulls have been working the phones to see if someone might be interested in taking both those picks so they can move up int he first round, but so far no takers.
So who might be available that far down? You're looking possibly at Kyle Singler who played four years at Duke and is an all around player. You're also looking at 6'10" forward JaJuan Johnson from Purdue, who can rebound well and score from both inside and out. If they were to draft Johnson, then the Bulls might look to trade Taj Gibson, who is coveted by other teams.
Davis Bertans, a 6'10" forward from Latvia, is another player that could be available when the Bulls select. If they were to pick him, it's very possible he would play overseas the next two years, much like Omar Asik did. That would free up the Bulls roster so as to not be over crowded at this time.
The bottom line is that the Bulls are not likely to hit any home run like their fan base wants them to. They'll get a player or two that will help them with depth, but a major splash will have to wait for another day.
