Schuster: Boozer Still A Few Days Away

By David Schuster--

Carlos Boozer's sprained ankle is improving but likely is a few days away from returning. The swelling in his left ankle is down significantly but he didn't practice Monday and his return probably wont come until Thursday at New Jersey or Friday at Indianapolis.

All the talk at Monday's practice centered around the festivities at the United Center from Saturday night and also on possibly getting the #1 seed in the East. Derrick Rose seemed star struck and like a kid in the candy store, "It was great, it makes you want to be in their shoes some day" And Carlos Boozer added, "It was amazing to see them. We're trying to accomplish what they already did. I was honored to meet them and be part of the whole thing."

As for running down the Celtics, Tom Thibodeau said, "We're doing the chasing, They're the conference champs from last year but if we keep focusing in on what we have to do hopefully in the end we're at the top.

And what about Michael Jordan saying that this current version of the Bulls should also win 6 championships? Boozer said he feels no pressure but Rose had a smile when he said, "That's a lot of pressure. I don't know why he did it but we're not looking that far down the road."
