Schuster: Boozer Day To Day

Carlos Boozer is officially being listed as day to day but the likelihood is that he will miss a couple of games (or more). Boozer had an MRI and it confirmed that the ankle is indeed sprained and the key will be how quick the swelling goes down.
The Bulls have played well in Boozer's absence as he has missed time with an earlier sprained ankle as well as a fractured hand. If needed Taj Gibson will start in his place and Gibson actually improves the defense as he's much better at defending the basket area.
As for Derrick Rose, the Bulls All Star guard continues to downplay all the talk regarding his MVP candidacy. Rose definitely is the front runner at this point and the talk is getting louder and louder but he says it's easy to keep out of his mind. "I'm a basketball player and basketball is my job. All the other stuff will take care of itself if we keep on winning"
Rose also had thoughts on the President being a big fan of the Bulls. "Obama is my guy. He's been supporting us for a long time even when we were a bad team. It's kind of good to have the President on your side" No denying that but it's also kind of good to have the best point guard in the league on your side and that's what Rose has elevated himself to.
