Schuster: Best Of 3 Series Now
By: David Schuster
The Bulls didn't deserve to win last night and they didn't as the Hawks evened up the series with a 100-88 victory.
The Bulls actually led by 2 going into the 4th quarter but it was all Atlanta over the final 12 minutes as they outscored the Bulls 33-19.
Derrick Rose scored a game high 34 points to go with 10 assists but, as usual in a loss, took full blame. Actually give the Hawks credit as they held Rose to 12/32 shooting and forced him into 4 2nd half turnovers.
The Hawks also got some stepped up performances from Josh Smith (23 points & 16 rebounds), Joe Johnson (24 points) and Al Horford (20 points on 9/11 shooting).
Carlos Boozer played better with 18 points on 7/10 shooting but Luol Deng was just 5/14 from the field and Kyle Korver just 1/8.
The Bulls knew they blew a golden opportunity because should they have won they could have closed out the series on Tuesday night. Instead, now they are in a best of 3 series and usually whoever wins game 5 in a 2-2 situation usually ends up victorious in the series.
