Schanowski: Thibodeau Slow To Make Adjustments
CHICAGO (WSCR) Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau won the NBA's Coach of the Year Award for taking the Bulls from a 41-win team a season ago, and turning them into the NBA's overall No. 1 seed in the playoffs after racking up 62 wins in the regular season.
Thibodeau got his players to buy into his defensive-focused system, and they surpised much of the league when they established themselves as a power in the Eastern Conference.
But now, Thibodeau finds his Bulls team one game away from elimination, and some people are now questioning the decisions he's made this series.

"He was slow to make adjustments," Mark Schanowski, from Comcast SportsNet, said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "Miami adjusted after Game 1: they changed some things with the way they played [Derrick] Rose on the screen-and-roll, you know, they altered their rotation in terms of using fewer guys, getting [Udonis] Haslem in there, not playing Jamaal Magloire.
"And we're still waiting for Thibodeau to make his first adjustment. The Bulls are down 3-1 already, and, you know, the odds of beating the heat three games in a row are pretty extreme."
