Fire In Sauk Village Leaves 1 Woman Dead, Firefighter Injured
CHICAGO (CBS)-- A woman died in a house fire in south suburban Sauk Village Sunday night.
According to fire officials, an "unattended smoking material" started a fire at the house on 223rd Street, just before 9 p.m.
A woman died in the home.
One firefighter was knocked back from an explosion and suffered a muscle injury.
The firefighter was treated at a hospital in Dyer, Indiana.
The house is now boarded up due to the damage.
