Santos: All Bullpen Pitchers Want To Close
With the departure of former Chicago White Sox closer Bobby Jenks, the team has opened up the competition to be this year's closer to the entire bullpen. And it's a job they'd all love to have.
"I think if you were to ask any guy in our bullpen what spot they would want, they would want to be the closer," White Sox pitcher Sergio Santos said on The Score. "I think it's a great job to be, to kind of hand you the ball to get the last three outs. So yeah I would be lying if I said no I didn't think about [closing]. But is it the most important thing to me? No. I'm going to try for it, and if it happens great. But if not then I have no problem being a sixth, seventh, eighth inning guy."
