Salvation Army To Stay In Uptown
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Salvation Army says it's staying in Uptown after all - despite its earlier statements that 46th Ward Alderman James Cappleman had asked the Salvation Army food truck to clear out.

First, Salvation Army Captain Nancy Powers was quoted as saying Alderman James Cappleman did not want them.
Powers said Cappleman had told them the food truck "was pulling homeless into the area, and he does not want us to feed them." So the Salvation Army would go.
Then Cappleman released a statement saying the Salvation Army had "stormed out of a meeting" - but that he's looking forward to working with them.
And now? Captain Powers seems to be staying after all. Newsradio spoke with her right after she read the alderman's statement.
"I found it quite surprising. And you know what I am going to take out of it? That we're back to working together and we're back to serving in his ward," said Powers.
Powers says, "Perhaps we misunderstood each other."
