Salvation Army Gets 'Golden' Offer
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- You see it every year around the holidays: Passersby dropping coins into those red Salvation Army kettles.

And, every year, some especially generous folks drop about two dozen real gold coins into the buckets.
This year, according to a Salvation Army spokesperson, an anonymous donor is going one step further: He or she is offering to match the value of the gold coins--up to 100 coins.
At least four coins have been found so far this year.
That's a pretty nice gift: Gold is currently trading for about $1,300 an ounce.
