Sale To Start Sunday In Oakland
(CBS) After throwing 38 pitches in a rain-shortened start Tuesday night, White Sox left-hander Chris Sale will make his next start Sunday in Oakland.
Sale is still working to recover from left shoulder tendinitis, which caused his last start to be skipped.
"To give him an extra day is continuing with taking care of him and making sure he feels good when he goes out there," Ventura told the Tribune after the Sox considered moving Sale's next start up to Saturday.
Sale said he felt only minor tightness in his left shoulder after Tuesday's start, which is normal.
White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper also announced the move on 670 The Score before the start of the White Sox game against the Cubs.
