Saints To Leave Open Seat On Bus, Plane To Remember Sean Payton
(WSCR) Sean Payton may be suspended from the NFL for one year, but the Saints won't soon forget him.
According to a report, as Payton sits out the 2012 season for his role in the bounty program, the team is going to leave his chair empty on the team bus and plane all season. They will do the same in team meetings.
"We miss everything we know about (Payton)," offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael said. "He's special. He has some magic to him."
Oh, and Payton won't be far from the Saints, anyway. He's rented an office in Benson Tower, which is right next to the Superdome and owned by Saints owner Tom Benson.
