Royal Wedding Recap
If you weren't one of the millions of people who flocked to the streets of London or their television sets, to get a glimpse of the Royal Wedding, check out the highlights here.
The Dress & Details
After much speculation, the designer of Kate Middleton's dress is finally revealed! Sarah Burton, newly appointed director of Alexander McQueen's fashion line, designed Kate Middleton's wedding gown. Burton beautifully combined classic tradition with a modern, timeless gown. Looking radiant and youthful, Middleton was truly dressed as the perfect Queen-to-be.
Middleton also wore a 1936 Cartier tiara lent to her by Queen Elizabeth. The tiara was purchased by King George VI for the Queen Mother and was presented to the Queen on her 18th birthday.
Prince William wore the official uniform of the Irish Guard.
The Abbey
Inside Westminster Abbey, the church was lined with a cathedral length red carpet, lush green trees along the aisle and thousands of white English flowers. Westminster Abbey had the feeling of a beautiful, English country garden.
The Wedding Party
Pippa Middleton, Kate's sister and made of honor, wore a sleek ivory dress also by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.
According to the official wedding website, Her Majesty the Queen was wearing an Angela Kelly-designed single crepe wool yellow dress with hand-sown beading at the neck in the shape of sun rays and a matching double crepe wool tailored primrose coat.
Middleton's mother, Carole, was wearing a dress and coatdress by Catherine Walker. Her hat is by Jane Corbett. The coatdress was a blue wool crepe and the day dress was sky-blue.
Prince William's stepmother, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall was wearing a champagne colored, Anna Valentine dress. She was also sporting a Philip Treacy hat and shoes by Jimmy Choo.
Prince Harry was wearing the uniform of Captain of the Household Cavalry.
The Guests
Politicians, royalty, dignitaries, celebrities, family and friends all joined together to wish the happy couple well. David and Victoria Beckham (looking stunning with her baby bump, in midnight blue), singers Elton John and Joss Stone, Prime Minister David Cameron and Guy Ritchie were among some of the famous guests.
