Rose's Mentality Takes Bulls To Another Level
CHICAGO (WSCR) -- All season the Chicago Bulls have been focused on the task at hand: win the next game, win the Central Division, get the top seed for the Eastern Conference, etc. This mentality starts with head coach Tom Thibodeau.
But right there with Thibodeau is MVP frontrunner Derrick Rose.
"When your best player, and the best player in the league is wired like that, it sets a tone for your team and kind of takes you to another level," K.C. Johnson, of the Chicago Tribune, said on the Mully and Hanley Show.

The Bulls clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and have a chance to tie for the league's best record not only due to Rose's 25.1 points and 7.8 assists per game, but also becuase of the way he carries himself.
"Let's just look at Derrik's season really quickly," Johnson said. "He's played through two stomach ulcers, I know it's just a cold, but I'm telling you, I talked to him at [Tuesday's] shootaround, he sounded absolutely awful...I know it's just a head cold, I get it, but my point is, the guy just doesn't know what to do other than to play basketball and try to win [each] game. And when your best player has a mental makeup like that, everything else just falls into place."
