Schuster: Rose Definitely Playing, Will Take Pain Killer

CHICAGO (WSCR) Derrick Rose sat out practice on Monday with his sprained ankle but says he will play in Game 5, "It's not broke so I'm definitely playing." But Rose will have a bit of help before Tuesday's game in the form of a pain killing shot. This is something he has had in the past, "I had one my rookie year when my wrist was messed up and also once last year when I needed one for my back."
Kyle Korver is more than impressed with Rose. "He's tough and a hard-nosed kid," Korver said. "He never complains and plays with so many injuries that the fans and media don't even know about. He's just 22 years old and handles himself like a much older man."
Coach Tom Thibodeau says he doesn't plan on many changes for the 5th game but did say his team needs to play better on both ends of the court. Thibodeau is not surprised by the amount of panic by the fans even though his team is up 3-1 in the series. "Its the playoffs so there's more attention," Thibodeau said. "If we continue to put everything into our preparation we'll be fine."
And then there's Joakim Noah who is always psyched to play, but will have a bit of extra motivation for Tuesday's game. Noah will be seeing his Grandfather for the first time since last summer, and this will be the first time he has seen his grandson play an NBA game. And it's not exactly as if he's coming from near by, he's coming all the way from Cameroon in Africa.
