Rose Sits Out Practice, Questionable For Friday's Game
(CBS) After missing the last two games with a sprained left big toe, Derrick Rose sat out practice Thursday and could miss Friday's game in Cleveland.
Head coach Tom Thibodeau said after practice that Rose will only play if the pain and swelling subsides. The Bulls will hold a morning shootaround in Cleveland Friday.
Rose hasn't played since Saturday as he rests the injury. If the Bulls hold him out of Friday's game against the Cavaliers and Saturday's game against Charlotte at the United Center, then the point guard will have had a full week off before Monday's game against New Jersey.
The Bulls have four straight home games next week with off days in between all the games. That could help Rose heal before the Bulls start a nine-game road trip Jan. 29 in Miami.
