Rose Practices, Tells Thibodeau His Ankle Is 'Fine'
CHICAGO (CBS) In the final seconds of the Chicago Bulls' 103-95 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago's series outlook took a dramatic turn for the worse when Derrick Rose turned his ankle and hobbled off the court.
But as the Bulls took to the Berto Center for practice on Tuesday afternoon, there were encouraging signs that Rose would be able to bounce back from the injury.
"He came in and didn't have any swelling," head coach Tom Thibodeau said. "He said he was fine and went through everything."
Rose participated in the full practice and didn't seem to be favoring his ankle.
In addition to Rose, forward Carlos Boozer is also on the mend. Boozer is recovering from turf toe, but is expected to play in Game 2, just like he did in the first game of the series.
