Rose, Noah At Obama Fundraiser
CHICAGO (CBS) -- President Barack Obama will head back to Washington Friday, after kicking off his re-election campaign Thursday night at Navy Pier and two restaurants. Joining Obama at Navy Pier were two current Chicago Bulls players.
Point guard Derrick Rose and center Joakim Noah were among those on hand to hear the President discuss his reelection campaign.
The president offered up a gracious tribute to the likely NBA MVP.
"He's become the most powerful man in Chicago – unbelievable energy, sharp elbows – who have brought Chicago new sense of hope for the future, give it up for Derrick Rose."
Obama talked about his reelection strategy as well as spending and working with with Republican leaders, but would end the evening in a Bulls cap, hoping to come back for NBA finals, and a second term.
Along with Rose and Noah, former Bull B.J. Armstrong was on hand.
The Bulls will start their playoff run on Saturday, when the Indiana Pacers visit the United Center.
