Rose And Bulls 'Trying To Do Something Special'
The Chicago Bulls held on to beat the Phoenix Suns 97-94 on Monday night. However, it was an ugly and unsatisfying win for Derrick Rose and the Bulls.
"A win is a win, especially in this league" Rose said. "But right now we're not moving in the right direction."
The Bulls have won eight of their last nine games, including four in a row, and stretched their lead over the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat to three games.
But Rose still remains to be the team's biggest critic, setting the expectation level awfully high for a team that snuck up on most of the league this year.
"We're trying to do something special," Rose said. "Coming out, playing like this at home, we can't do that."
The Bulls have their sights set on the best record in the NBA, and with only two fewer wins than the San Antonio Spurs, and five games left on their schedule, they have an outside shot to catch them.
But no matter where the Bulls end the regular season, one thing is for sure, Rose will have their playoffs expectations set squarely on an NBA Title.
