Roger Clemens Signs Minor League Contract
(CBS) With his legal problems in the rear-view mirror, Roger Clemens is returning to baseball.
The 50-year-old Clemens has reportedly signed a minor league contract with the Sugar Land (Texas) Skeeters, an affiliate of the Houston Astros.
Clemens, a seven-time Cy Young Award winner, hit 87 mph on the radar gun in a workout for the Skeeters. He will make his first start Saturday night.
If Clemens does make it to the majors, his eligibility for the Hall of Fame would be reset. Clemens is set to appear on the ballot for the first time this December.
