Rodman, Winter Among Bulls Elected To Hall Of Fame
Former Chicago Bulls Dennis Rodman, Tex Winter and Artis Gilmore have been elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Rodman won five NBA championships over his 14-year NBA career, two with the Detroit Pistons and three with the Bulls. He averaged 15 rebounds per game in the 1997-98 season, his seventh consecutive season leading the league in rebounds.
Winter was part of nine NBA championships with the Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. He's credited with building the foundation of the triangle-post offense. Winter was the youngest coach in college basketball history to receive the Coach of the Year award. He led Kansas State to six NCAA Tournament appearances and two Final Fours.
Gilmore spent 17 years playing professional basketball, five in the ABA and 12 in the NBA. He played for the Bulls from 1976-1982, his first stop in the NBA before moving on to San Antonio. Gilmore made 11 All-Star games in his career (five ABA and six NBA), including four with the Bulls.
