Rodgers: New Helmet Helped Prevent Concussion
Aaron Rodgers has already suffered two concussion this season. And if it wasn't for the new helmet he started wearing, that number might have hit three against the Chicago Bears.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated's Peter King, Rodgers said that he thought he may have been concussed for the third time this season on the Julius Peppers hit that drew a 15-yard penalty flag, were it not for the previously mentioned new helmet.
"That was lucky,'' Rodgers told King. "As much as the new helmet feels uncomfortable and I'm still getting used to it, I'm really happy I was wearing it on that hit...It hurt, I can tell you that. He hit me pretty good. I know what a concussion feels like. I'm just grateful this wasn't hard enough to give me another one.''
