Robbie Gould Becomes Bears' All-Time Leading Scorer
By Chris Emma--
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CBS) -- There's a new all-time leading scorer in the Bears' rich history. Robbie Gould has surpassed kicker Kevin Butler, who recorded 1,116 points.
Gould hit 44- and 30-yard field goals against the Chiefs to take the lead on the Bears' all-time points list. He entered Sunday's game just four points shy of the record.
Prior to Butler taking the record in 1992, the previous leader was Walter Payton. Butler played for Chicago until 1995.
Gould's record-breaking field goal brought the Bears closer, as they then trailed the Chiefs, 17-6.
