Robbers Swipe Bags Of Jewelry From Woman In Glenview
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A woman was slightly hurt this morning in a motel parking lot, as three robbers got away with bags of jewelry.
Glenview Village Spokeswoman Lynne Stiefel tells WBBM's Steve Miller that the robbery happened just after 9 a.m. at the Motel 6, 1535 Milwaukee Ave..
"A van containing at least three suspects confronted a man and a woman in the parking lot .. brandishing clubbing instruments," Stiefel said. "They grabbed several bags containing jewelry."
Stiefel says there was a struggle, and the woman's arm was slightly injured.
Stiefel says the value of the jewelry that was taken is "considerable."
She says it's believed the man and woman were staying at the motel.
Glenview Police are looking for a dark-colored van and the three suspects.
