Robbers Strike Businesses Around Midway Airport
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Police are warning businesses around Midway International Airport about recent robberies.
As WBBM Newsradio's Steve Miller reports, the robberies happened in the 6300 block of South Central Avenue, and a few miles northeast in the 5000 block of South Pulaski Road.
One of the robberies was at 2 p.m., another anther about 6:15 p.m.
Police say the robbers went into stores, showed a weapon, restrained the employees and took money and merchandise.
Details have not been learned about what kind of stores were robbed. No descriptions of the robbers were available.
