Robber Shot At North Side Store Held On $400,000 Bond
(STMW) -- A man who was shot as he tried to rob a North Side store with a fake handgun has been ordered held on $400,000 bond.
Lawrence Bradley, 25, of the 15200 block of South Evers Avenue in south suburban Dolton, allegedly used a replica handgun in an attempt to rob a store in the 2900 block of West Devon Avenue about 5:40 p.m. Monday, police said.
An employee shot the would-be robber, and the man fled the scene, police said.
Bradley was taken into custody about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday when he walked into Saint Margaret Mercy Healthcare in Hammond, Ind. to seek treatment for multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
Bradley was charged Tuesday with felony counts of armed robbery and aggravated battery, and later ordered held on $400,000 bond, authorities said.
He will next appear in court Nov. 12, the Cook County State's Attorney's office said.
