Police search for robber who held up man on Green Line on Chicago's West Side
Police on Sunday issued surveillance photos of a man who robbed a passenger on a Chicago Transit Authority Green Line train on the city's West Side this week.
At 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, a man was on a westbound Green Line train near the Cicero Avenue stop on the cusp of the West Garfield Park and North Austin neighborhoods, when the robber started giving him suspicious looks, police said.
The victim tried to switch train cars, but the robber blocked him in the car and demanded his money, phone, and wallet while threatening violence, police said.
The robber took the victim's belongings and ran off the train when it arrived at the Cicero Avenue station, police said.
