River 'Garbage Wall' Set For Display At Navy Pier
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An unpleasant, yet thought provoking, art project is coming to Chicago next month.
WBBM's Pat Cassidy reports, it's known as the "Garbage Wall" and it contains actual garbage and trash from the Chicago, Illinois, Mississippi and Ohio Rivers.
It's a way for environmentalists and artists to draw attention to pollution in Midwest rivers and inspire change.
The first "Garbage Wall" was built in 1970 in New York City.
This version will be constructed this month and will be on display for three days at Navy Pier starting Sept. 20.
