Ricketts says that if the team fills its roster with mostly young players, as Cubs fans expect, Quade will be a good fit because he likes working with prospects and they like working with him.
Ricketts shied away from talking about the man passed over for the Cubs job, Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg.
When asked about Sandberg's future with the team, Ricketts would only say, "We'll see where that ends up; it's still very early to talk about that."
