Rev. Jesse Jackson Joins Efforts To Stop Hate Crimes, Violence Against Asian-Americans
WHEELING, Ill. (CBS) -- The Rev. Jesse Jackson has joined the efforts to stop violence against Asian-Americans.
In a show of solidarity on Sunday morning, the legendary civil rights leader delivered remarks during a service at the First Korean Church in Wheeling.
"We are one," Jackson said, "one humanity."
Jackson also said former President Donald Trump's comments blaming Asians for the coronavirus pandemic only added to existing racism.
