Rev. Jeremiah Wright Takes Shots At Mayor Emanuel At CTU Breakfast
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Chicago Teachers Union has a new, more outspoken image courtesy of the fiery preacher, Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
Wright spoke at a Martin Luther King breakfast hosted by the CTU. Union President Karen Lewis was in the first row as Wright took aim at City Hall and Mayor Rahm Emanuel among other targets.
"Where would Dr. King be standing in 2014? With the Chicago Teachers Union boycotting a mayor who was sent here by the president to shut down the union," said Wright.
CBS 2 has reached out for comment from the Chicago Teachers Union and Mayor Rahm Emanuel and have not heard back.
